Process and Costs

Every project is unique, so costs vary depending on size, design complexity, ground conditions, finishes, and additional features such as moving floors, water features, or wellness areas. As a guide, fully bespoke pools are typically a significant investment, reflecting the level of craftsmanship, engineering, and finish involved. We provide detailed, transparent quotations following an initial consultation and site assessment.

Our process is fully managed from concept to completion:

  1. Initial consultation and review of drawing package if applicable. Budget quotation.
  2. Concept design to enable budget quotation if no drawings are available.
  3. Detailed technical drawings and specification following concept design sign-off.
  4. Planning and regulatory guidance (if required)
  5. Construction and installation
  6. Commissioning and handover

We work closely with homeowners, architects, and developers to ensure a seamless experience.

Timelines depend on the scale and complexity of the project. Outdoor pools typically take several months from groundworks to completion, while indoor or structurally integrated pools may take longer due to building coordination. We provide a clear project schedule at the outset.

In many cases, outdoor pools fall under permitted development, but this depends on location and property type. Listed buildings, conservation areas, and indoor pool buildings often require planning approval, or may be build under permitted development. We can advise you and liaise with planning authorities or your architect as needed.

Yes. We regularly collaborate with architects, interior designers, landscape designers, and main contractors. Early involvement ensures technical coordination, structural integration, and a superior final result.

Features and Energy Efficiency

We design and construct:

Each pool is designed to complement the property and its surroundings.

Bespoke pools can include:

  1. Underwater and feature lighting
  2. Automatic pool covers
  3. Moving floors
  4. Swim jets
  5. Integrated spa areas
  6. Water features and fountains
  7. High-end tiling and bespoke finishes
  8. Smart control systems

We tailor every specification to suit your lifestyle and design preferences.

Modern pool systems are highly efficient when designed correctly. We incorporate advanced filtration, high-performance insulation, air or ground source heat pumps, and automated covers to minimise heat loss and running costs. Energy efficiency is considered from the earliest design stage.

Sustainability starts at the design stage. We incorporate high-performance insulation, energy-efficient circulation pumps, advanced filtration systems, and automatic covers to minimise heat and water loss. Where appropriate, we also integrate renewable heating solutions such as air or ground source heat pumps to significantly reduce energy consumption.

The most efficient heating solution depends on your property and usage. Air and ground source heat pumps are widely regarded as the most energy-efficient options, particularly when paired with a well-insulated pool shell and an automatic cover. For indoor pools, effective air handling and heat recovery systems are equally important to optimise performance and reduce running costs.

Yes. Pools can be integrated with renewable energy systems such as solar PV panels, ground source heating, or air source heat pumps. We work with your design team to ensure systems are correctly specified and balanced, helping to reduce both environmental impact and long-term operating costs.

The construction method is fundamental to both the aesthetic and longevity of a pool. For high-end, architecturally integrated projects, material choice is driven by design intent, structural context, and the desired level of refinement.

Reinforced Concrete/Tiled Pools

Reinforced concrete remains the gold standard for truly bespoke pools. It offers complete design freedom — from dramatic infinity edges and perimeter overflows to complex geometries and seamless indoor–outdoor transitions.

Its structural integrity allows for precision detailing and flawless tile or mosaic finishes, resulting in a pool that feels permanent, substantial, and architecturally coherent.

Concrete is typically specified for luxury residential and statement projects where craftsmanship and longevity are paramount.

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel pools offer a striking contemporary aesthetic with exceptional precision engineering. The material’s natural reflectivity enhances light and water movement, creating a distinctive, refined finish often favoured in modern interiors, rooftop installations, and wellness environments.

Its durability and corrosion resistance make it particularly well suited to indoor settings and specialist installations.

Our role is to advise on the most suitable solution, ensuring the chosen construction method aligns with the architecture, the landscape, and the long-term vision for the property.

Wellness & Fitness

Yes — we can seamlessly integrate bespoke wellness spaces such as saunas, steam rooms, vitality pools, spa pools and chilled plunge pools into your overall aquatic scheme. Each element is considered from the outset so finishes, materials and circulation align with the architectural language of your pool hall or wellness suite.

Whether your project is a contemporary indoor pool, a garden pavilion or a larger wellness suite, these features are designed to enhance relaxation and wellbeing while maintaining exceptional aesthetics and build quality.

Saunas and steam rooms extend the therapeutic and lifestyle value of your wellness space. Beyond their inherent relaxation benefits, they encourage improved circulation, help ease muscle tension after swimming, and offer a restorative environment that complements hydrotherapy and warm water spa experiences.

Incorporating these facilities into a dedicated suite or alongside a pool creates a holistic wellness retreat — ideally suited to busy lifestyles or as a refined space for socialising and wellbeing at home.

Spa pools and hydrotherapy pools are designed primarily for relaxation, therapeutic massage and gentle aquatic exercise, whereas traditional swimming pools focus on lap swimming, play or aquatic fitness. Spa features often include higher temperature water, massage jets and ergonomic seating to promote comfort and wellbeing.

When integrated into a larger pool environment, these areas can create distinct zones — for exercise, for rest, and for recovery — all within a unified design that reflects your lifestyle and leisure needs

A dedicated fitness or performance pool allows you to enjoy a comprehensive, low‑impact full‑body workout without leaving home. Swimming and water‑based exercise engage nearly every muscle group while protecting joints from high‑impact stresses typically associated with land‑based training — making it ideal for endurance, strength, rehabilitation and overall wellbeing.

Performance pools or systems such as high power counter current swim jets extend this further by creating a continuous, adjustable water flow you swim against. This means you can train like you would in a longer lap pool even in a more compact, bespoke installation.

Swim jets and counter‑current systems are engineered water propulsion technologies that let you swim continuously in place. By generating a smooth, powerful current, they allow you to swim against resistance — effectively simulating long‑distance swimming within a shorter pool footprint.

These systems are highly adjustable, meaning you can tailor the intensity to suit beginners through to serious athletes. They also offer a low‑impact environment excellent for cardiovascular fitness, core stability, strength training and aqua‑therapy.
